特徵描述

形態特徵

  • Culms 1-5 m tall, 0.5-1.5 cm in diam., internodes smooth, 12-36 cm long; nodes prominent with a ring of aerial roots on lower culm; branch usually single, sometimes 2-3 at upper nodes.
  • Sheath of culm persistent, coriaceous, glabrous densely fimbriate along margins when young; auricles of sheath inconspicuous with a few short bristles; ligule of sheath truncate, dark brown; blade of sheath subulate or broadly linear, glabrous, entire. Leaves 2-6, sometimes to 12, oblong, 10-30 cm long 1.5-4 cm broad, acute, base obtuse, veins 5-9, veinlets 7-9, tessellate; petioles 2-5 mm long; auricles of leaf inconspicuous, with tufts of brown bristles; ligule of leaf convex, rounded, aristate; sheath of leaf 4-8 cm long, glabrous, ciliate along sides.

分布

  • 台灣 : Widely distributed in thicket and in open grasslands throughout the island, usually scattered and associated with broadleaved forests to 1,200 m.
